We were challenged to create an intimate & engaging experience showcasing one of the biggest collections of Lincoln artifacts in the entire world in a modern and engaging way. This is not a typical museum experience. Instead, we use technology in such a way that individuals of varying abilities, ages, and knowledge levels are able to fully engage with the Collection. There’s truly something here for everyone. The display includes a space to explore the Lincoln Collection through a variety of physical displays, digital kiosks, and even a projection room that shows Collection items in 180 degrees.
Challenge
Creating the Abraham Lincoln display involved harnessing the power of projection to transform wall spaces at the entry point, featuring customizable content tailored to specific tour groups and demographics. Blue Pony crafted a custom video spanning three walls within the Immersive Projection Room, providing an all-encompassing environment that transports visitors back in time to pivotal moments in Lincoln’s life.

We also developed a custom-built CMS compatible with the latest touchscreen technology, allowing users full access to a wide range of Lincoln assets, categorized by interest and media type. This interactive kiosk features three touchscreens and an additional display, offering a scalable timeline and map mode to highlight significant historical stops and crucial points in Lincoln’s life. To manage over 500 digitally scanned or photographed Lincoln-related artifacts, we built a fully custom CMS for the ACPL staff, enabling them to upload and organize various media types and assign artifacts to key exhibits within the physical space.
Result
Our well-received and explorable exhibit space expertly showcases one of the world's most impressive collections of Lincoln memorabilia, providing visitors with an engaging and immersive experience. Stop by the Allen County Public Library to see for yourself!
